Marconi Union’s unique fusion of electronica, guitars and strings first came to people’s attention with the release of their highly acclaimed second album Distance (released on Brian Eno’s All saints Records) This album was a hailed in some quarters as “groundbreaking” and “an ambient classic” with it receiving a particularly strong reaction in the US where many of the tracks appeared on the soundtracks to various TV shows.

James Murray is a london-based electroacoustic sound artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist. his productions weave together elements of electronica, downtempo, jazz and dub in emotive explorations of how the organic and electronic interact.
All at once the city and the middle of nowhere, jm’s recursive themes draw hi-tech sound design, live instrumentation and lush pastoralism together in a sonic world where nothing is ever quite as it seems.
Previously released on em:t, psychonavigation and part2 records, he is currently finalising his debut album on ultimae records and working as a freelance composer, producer and sound designer.

Energy Mind Consciousness is a post electronic, post ambient and post millennial magnum opus of transcendent soundscapes. Atmospheres, guitars, electric sitars, synths and dubby grooves drenched in reverbs and cavernous echoes. EMC mixes and matches styles to create new genre fusions, it is a hypnotic and mesmerising record.
